Duchess of Cornwall - Royal Duties

After the royal wedding, the Duchess of Cornwall started to take part in a variety of royal duties. At the beginning these only involved accompanying the Prince of Wales in his official duties.

Then the Duchess also began undertake engagements on her own. For example with charity work

She first attended the Trooping the Colour ceremony in London in June 2005, and made her debut on the balcony of Buckingham Palace after the Trooping.

Following the July 7, 2005 London bombings, the Duchess and Prince Charles visited victims of the attack at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington.

In November 2005, the Duchess accompanied Prince Charles on a royal tour of the United States of America This was her first official overseas tour as a member of the Royal Family.
